Department of Aquatic Resources Collaboration for World Class University

The Department of Aquatic Resources, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Diponegoro University (Undip) successfully organized the Workshop & General Lecture on Benthic Invertebrate Identification: Integrating Morphology and DNA Barcoding Approach on 13–15 July 2026 at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro.

Throughout the program, participants received comprehensive lectures and practical sessions covering the principles of benthic invertebrate taxonomy, specimen identification, DNA barcoding methodology, and the application of molecular approaches to biodiversity assessment and marine ecosystem conservation. Interactive discussions further enriched participants’ understanding of current challenges and future opportunities in aquatic biodiversity research.
